GROOMING

While dogs are automatically bathed and dipped before departure, we also offer a grooming service as an optional extra.

Our dog hair-stylists, Emmanuel and Khule, will groom and style your pet according to the breed- specific standard. Fabulous darling!

Kennels and Cattery

Your pet’s wellbeing and comfort is our major concern. Pets are checked twice a day and are fed twice per day, unless instructed otherwise.

Dogs only sleep in their kennel at night and play in shaded exercise runs during the day (only pets from the same family share the same exercise facility).

The tiled kennels are spacious and secure, each featuring a recessed sleeping area with raised beds for your pets night time comfort. Kennels are kept spotless and hygienic, being disinfected and cleaned with a high pressure hose every day.

You are welcome to bring your pet’s own bedding and blankets.

AVIARY

In this facility, your bird has human contact all day. If viable, our trained staff will handle your feathered friend on request.

PLAY STATIONS
These outdoor facilities are enjoyed by parrots, who have had their wings clipped and can be handled by humans.

MENU
Mixed gourmet, fresh fruit and vegetables for parrots Breed specific seed for other feathered friends.

Log Cabins

Our fully equipped self catering log cabins (sleeps 2) consists of beautiful enclosed gardens, patio, Weber braai, Flat screen TV with Openview. (If you would prefer to watch DSTV, feel free to bring your own decoder and smartcard) The cottages are fully serviced. We are 10 minutes from pet friendly beaches. Rates from R700 per night. Pets stay free.

Paws for Thought is a highly geared concept, constantly striving for new innovations to pamper your pets. For example, in Ballito, Ann introduced an innovation that allows your pet to “Check out” for a few hours during the day for a romp on the beach or a stroll along the promenade with their owners, before being returned to their holiday resort at Paws for Thought. Our Kennels and Cattery are fully monitored by CCTV cameras.

We will strive to honour and fulfill Annie’s wish for her legacy to continue at Paws for Thought. Her love for animals will live on through us every day.
